Mayor Jacqueline M. Izzo announced the second public engagement meeting to Rethink Woodhaven and former Wright Park Manor on Tuesday, May 23 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mohawk Valley Community College Rome Campus Room PC 150 at 1101 Floyd Ave Rome, NY. The meeting will be hosted by the City of Rome, Mohawk Valley EDGE, and C.T. Male Associates.
“The project team has been working to gather input from the public and potential developers, and will be reporting back to the community during the public engagement meeting. The meeting will include a presentation of the market analysis, zoning, and additional input from the public moving forward as a master plan and draft generic environmental impact statement is formulated for this important development area. The $1.5 million investment made here by Empire State Development with the demolition is only the beginning of a new chapter for future development opportunities, and the public is invited to attend.” said Izzo.
The City and its partners invite the public and community members to join together in the second public engagement meeting to continue to move forward with this redevelopment project. To stay up-to-date with this project and submit public comment online visit, www.rethinkwoodhaven.com.
