The Public Safety Department oversees the operations and budgets of the Police, Fire and Animal Control Departments. It is also responsible for all aspects related to the public safety of the residents of the City of Rome.

 

The position of commissioner is a part time position with office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 2pm.
