The Rome City School District serves approximately 6,000 students from the City of Rome and surrounding areas.Rome City School District classroom

The Rome City School District is comprised of seven elementary schools with a K-6 configuration, one middle school and one high school. The children and families of Rome are provided a great start to their education through a comprehensive Early Childhood Program.

Seven Neighborhood Elementary Schools:

Rome Free Academy has Advanced Placement courses is Biology, Calculus, Computer Science, English Literature, Physics 1 & 2, Unites States History and World History. The school district offers 33 sports and 70 interscholastic teams. Fifty percent of juniors and seniors are enrolled in college credit courses and our students can graduate with enough credits to begin their college career as a sophomore. The Rome City School District has a unique relationship with Rome Lab in STEM initiatives that sets the district apart from others.
